 Profile

Guatemala Atitlán single‑origin coffee is a standout for those after a vibrant, full-bodied brew with rich complexity. Its volcanic roots, high-altitude terroir, indigenous stewardship, and processing versatility produce cups that balance brightness and sweetness, with nuanced fruit and chocolate notes.

Expect a bright, lively cup with notes of stone fruit, balanced by toffee sweetness and a smooth nutty finish. Its medium body and crisp acidity make it a vibrant and complex brew.

Variety Particulars

Grown on the slopes surrounding Lake Atitlán (Sololá region), nestled among volcanoes.

With an elevation of 1,5001,700masl (metres above sea level) offering cooler temps ideal for coffee cultivation,  this Caturra varietal is ideal for dense planting and high-yield farming on small estates. Hand-picked to ensure only ripe cherries are selected, maintaining cup quality.

Estate Qualities

Grown in the lush volcanic highlands surrounding Lake Atitlán, this exceptional single origin coffee captures the essence of Guatemala’s renowned coffee growing region of volcanic, mineral-rich soils providing excellent drainage and nutrients.

  • The influence of Lake Atitlán creates consistent humidity and temperature variation, ideal for growing high-quality Arabica beans
  • Farms frequently use shade trees, organic fertilisers, and practice forest preservation and biodiversity conservation.
  • Volcanic terroir + microclimate yield a distinctive cup featuring both clarity and richness.
  • High altitude promotes slow cherry maturation, enhancing sweetness and complexity

Flavour Profile
